We like/have to celebrate the little things in this house. Abe's really done something grand today and it's worth mentioning here for our posterity. This morning as I stood getting ready in the bathroom, Abe came in with a giant boogie on his finger. "Mom," he says, "I've got a boogie on my finger!" And as it was obvious to me, I got some tissue to wipe it off saying I'm so glad he chose not to eat it (an unfortunate issue we have been trying to deal with) and instead came to the bathroom to wipe it off. Then this is what he said to me,
"Mom. I did put it in my mouth and then I realized you don't want me to eat it and so I took it out."
He was telling the truth cause as I looked down upon the boogie once more I could see that this finger was still completely wet.
It truly is the small things that make being a mother so rewarding.
